Come gliding in the heart of Kent's most beautiful countryside and take a lesson or a trial glider flight. Situated within the private estate of the Earl of Guilford's Waldershare Park, the Channel Gliding Club has a unique position. With stunning views along the English coastline, and even across the Channel to France on a clear day, remember to bring your camera or video camera when you come to fly with us!

If you are local and would like to take up gliding then we welcome new members, it is not as expensive as you think. We are a small friendly gliding club offering a full range of facilities at very reasonable rates, please have a look at the Tariff page for more information. If you are looking for that special gift of a trial gliding lesson then you can book online - we can also cater for groups with special gliding evenings.

Trial lessons make great gifts for birthdays, anniversaries or any special occasion.

Channel Gliding Club is just off the new A256 Sandwich/Dover road, close to Whitfield.

From the A2, join the A256 heading toward Sandwich, and take the second exit on the left signposted Eythorne. Almost immediately turn left again and pass a pub/restaurant called the Cider Works. The entrance to the Club is about 500 yards further on the right. At the entrance is a lodge house and two stone pillars - the post code for the lodge is CT15 5AT and is a better one to use than the gliding club’s. About 100 yards inside the Park, turn left along a track and follow it to the Clubhouse car park (approximately 3/4 mile).
