Come gliding in the heart of Kent's most beautiful countryside and take a lesson or a trial glider flight. Situated within the private estate of the Earl of Guilford's Waldershare Park, the Channel Gliding Club has a unique position. With stunning views along the English coastline, and even across the Channel to France on a clear day, remember to bring your camera or video camera when you come to fly with us!

If you are local and would like to take up gliding then we welcome new members, it is not as expensive as you think. We are a small friendly gliding club offering a full range of facilities at very reasonable rates, please have a look at the Tariff page for more information. If you are looking for that special gift of a trial gliding lesson then you can book online - we can also cater for groups with special gliding evenings.

Trial lessons make great gifts for birthdays, anniversaries or any special occasion.

The Channel Gliding Club is one of the oldest in the country, founded in June 1930. It is a members-owned organisation and is run entirely by volunteers. Club members may come and fly on any day that the Club is operating. New members are always welcome.

Club instruction is integrated with visitors flying and is on the basis of 'first come, first served'. Members are also expected to assist with glider launching and, with experience and training, to operate launching equipment and to help run the airfield.
