The Channel Gliding Club is a members-owned organisation and is run entirely by volunteers. Club members may come and fly on any day that the Club is operating.

Club instruction is integrated with visitors flying and is on the basis of 'first come, first served'. Members are also expected to assist with glider launching and, with experience and training, to operate launching equipment and to help run the airfield.
